The Playwright MCP connects Claude to Playwright's browser automation framework, enabling web testing, scraping, and browser interaction through conversational commands. It provides Claude with the ability to navigate websites, interact with elements, capture screenshots, and automate browser workflows.

Most importantly, it allows you to use your credentials to login to “walled info” and scrape or interact with areas of the web ChatGPT cannot. A basic example is asking claude to launch Linkedin on Playwright. You then login with your personal Linkedin, and now, Claude has access to that session and can take actions on your behalf.

This can be done for any portal, site, or software you’d like Claude to interact with.
